From August 18th to 20th, the finals of the 5th China Graduate Students Robot Innovation Design Competition were held in Changsha, Hunan Province. A total of 1,177 teams from nearly 240 universities and research institutes registered for the competition. After the preliminary round of evaluation, 288 teams from 96 universities and research institutes entered the finals.

Our university's "Peace Star" team submitted the entry "Cable Surface Defect Detection Robot for Cable-Stayed Bridges" which entered the finals with its original design and excellent performance. After two days of exhibition and group competition evaluation, the team won the third prize nationwide.
